Los ”Villans” ganaron fácilmente el campeonato de Liga inglés. El Birmingham jugaba el mejor fútbol de Inglaterra y tenía muchos seguidores por todo el país. Su triplete defensivo formado por ”Baldy” Reynolds, ”Jimmy” Cowan y ”Willie” Groves era extraordinario, y sus cinco delanteros ”Charlie” Athersmith, ”Bob” Chatt, John Devey, Dennis Hodgetts y ”Steve” Smith o Albert Wooley brillaban en el ataque. Por cierto, el capitán John Devey y el reserva ”Harry” William Devey no estaban emparentados. Inglaterra introdujo el descenso y el ascenso automático esta temporada, bajando a Segunda División los dos últimos de Primera División y ascendiendo a Primera División los dos primeros de Segunda División.
