FA CUP 1893-1894

1894 vio la mayor sensación en la historia de la FA Cup hasta la fecha. El conjunto de Segunda División Notts County no sólo llegó a la final, sino que incluso consiguió ganar el título. El delantero centro escocés ”Jimmy” Logan (24.6.1870-25.5.1896) con sus tres goles se hizo acreedor de esta victoria. “Jimmy” Logan había jugado previamente en el Ayr, el Sunderland y el Aston Villa, y todavía jugaría en el Dundee y el Newcastle United más tarde. Otro internacional escocés fue su capitán David Calderhead (19.6.1864-9.1.1938), que lideraba ejemplarmente a su equipo y cuyo hijo David jugaría en el Chelsea de Londres. El conjunto perdedor, el Wanderers, también tenía un capitán extranjero, en este caso el defensa galés David Jones
